People who bike: Justin Humble
When you pause to chat with people who bike—such as this shopping-by-bike commuter we met departing Monterey’s Del Monte Center on a farmers market day—
you see and learn things you miss when someone is in a car.
For starters, when he took off his sunglasses for our conversation, we saw
that this gentleman has beautiful blue eyes.
We learned that he happens to be Christian and attends Calvary Monterey.
We sensed his genuine Christian humility–and learned his name happens to be Justin Humble!
Thank you to Justin, and other people who bike, for being good stewards of the earth
by reducing carbon emissions every time they bike for transportation!
Rest stop tip
Bicycling Monterey has posted about the importance of rest stops for people who use active transportation. And while chatting with Justin, we told him about a beautiful, peaceful new rest stop near downtown Monterey: the Jay Bartow Memorial Garden at First Presbyterian Church of Monterey.
