At the 2014 Sea Otter Classic, some Expo exhibitors were invited to support the students of the Monterey County Youth Center bike class. And indeed they did, by contributing to these youth in very practical and meaningful ways. Photos in this post show just a few of these contributors (e.g., pictured above is Kool-Stop’s booth, where Jeremy Van Schoonhoven was drawing an admiring crowd).

contributors below.

Contributor Project 529
The bike class is held at the Monterey County Probation Department Youth Center. It is part of an educational and treatment program serving boys ages 14-17 who come from all over Monterey County. Want to learn more about the class? Start here. Questions? Please contact Mari.
The businesses making these contributions were among the exhibitors at the Expo of the 24th Annual Sea Otter Classic. This bike exposition is North America’s largest, with a record-breaking 419 pre-registered exhibitors in 2014. It’s all part of the fun of Sea Otter Classic, a Celebration of Cycling that includes world-renowned races, festival activities for all ages, Gran Fondo fully supported recreational rides, and more. If you missed it, plan to attend the 25th Anniversary Sea Otter Classic, April 16-19, 2015.
Sea Otter Classic itself is also a supporter of this class, from the very beginning.
