Santa Cruz scene: Just love everybody

One day in Santa Cruz, along my regular bike-to-work route, I paused to photograph this billboard on Soquel Avenue near Branciforte. There was another billboard just like it on Ocean Avenue.

This photo was previously published, along with my essay “God Bless the Vandal,” in the November 29, 2001 issue of Good Times, a Santa Cruz weekly.
Santa Cruz wasn’t just a place to love “everybody.” It also found me Falling in Love with Bicycling.
