Transportation Agency for Monterey County awards—2011 Transportation Excellence Award

California State Senate recognition, 2013 Clean Air Honoree: Leadership, for developing Bicycling Monterey and the HER Helmet Thursdays Project.

Alliance for Biking and Walking – National Finalist for the 2014 Susie Stephens Joyful Enthusiasm Award.

California State Assembly and other 2012-2018 recognitions (examples below) for founding the bicycle education program at the Monterey County Probation Department Youth Center. http://bit.ly/TeachTeensWell

All awards have been non–monetary awards. For the 2017 Golden Helmet Awards, all recipients received a $100 gift certificate.

As of the start of Bicycling Monterey’s 16th year, May 2024, the founder has done all work on this website and other Bicycling Monterey projects on an unpaid volunteer basis, contributing well over 22,000 hours to this public service.
