Connecting Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties by bike/multi-use path will please a lot of people–including these Santa Cruz residents who bike to Monterey.
About the project:
The Beach Range Road project was one of the segments identified in the Monterey Bay Sanctuary Scenic Trail Master Plan, a collaborative effort among public agencies, non-profit organizations and the public to construct a trail that would span Monterey Bay from the city of Pacific Grove to Santa Cruz County line.* The facility offers users a greater separation from traffic on Highway 1, provides connection to the future Monterey Branch Line station at 8th Street and California State University Monterey Bay and allows visitors to experience the new Fort Ord Dunes State Park.
Please mark your calendars!
