Watsonville: Bike helmet fitting and safety instruction at 9th Annual Diabetes Health Fair

League of American Bicyclists certified instructor Frank Henderson will be offering free bike helmet fitting and bicycle safety instruction at the Regional Diabetes Collaborative (RDC) Ninth Annual Diabetes Health Fair on Friday, May 4, 2012 from 3:00-5:30 p.m. at The Plaza in the City of Watsonville. The Plaza is bounded by Main, East Beach, Union, and Peck Streets.
Besides being Bike League-certified, Frank is a Transportation Agency of Monterey County Golden Helmet Award winner (2010), a Hartnell College Learning Center instructor, and a volunteer instructor of bike safety at the Monterey County Youth Center. Learn more about Frank here.
The fair will also include free screenings for glucose levels, blood pressure, dental health,and vision health and will have numerous booths with useful resources for the community.
This is planned to be a fun event, including games, music, and raffle prizes. Bicycle helmets and two bicycles are among the prizes.
