Here are 7 ways to support

the 8th year of Bicycling Monterey:

  1. Tell others, including by sharing on social media. For example, share the link to http://bit.ly/GiveFAQs.

  2. Contribute, then ask ten friends to match your contribution (or to give any amount!).

  3. Tell people about the optional rewards for contributors:  http://bit.ly/RewardsBikeMRYIMG_9841

  4. Put up a poster at your workplace, community center, etc.

    See http://bit.ly/BikeMRYPosters for options.

  5. Consider showing the uplifting Bicycling Monterey videos at meetings or social gatherings of business associations, civic clubs, environmental groups, etc., or parties with friends or neighbors. Then encourage contributions. (If you’re in the Monterey Bay region, contact Mari if you’d like her to give a presentation too.)Screen Shot 2016-04-15 at 7.56.04 PM

  6. Provide a gift certificate or other reward, to inspire others to contribute; click here.IMG_9734

What was the result of Bicycling Monterey’s first fundraising campaign?

As of the campaign’s official end-date, May 31, 2016, just six percent (6%) of the fundraising campaign goal had been met. As a result, it will be necessary to cut  back on all that Bicycling Monterey has been doing the past seven years.

The crowdfunding campaign helped, in that the amount of contributions received via the campaign surpassed the total contributions from May 1, 2009 through December 21, 2015.

This includes that the crowdfunding firm itself was so inspired by the Bicycling Monterey work that on March 24, 2016, their own team members made the largest contribution Bicycling Monterey had received to date.

The total raised during the campaign period (December 22, 2015 through May 31, 2016) was $4,646. That provides $12.73 per day for the 8th year. While every dollar is much appreciated, unfortunately that is far short of the fundraising goal.

By November 18, 2016, the total crowdfunded was $5,285. People who appreciate the Bicycling Monterey work are urged to double that amount and raise $10.6K—the revised crowdfunding goal. Thank you for your consideration and support.
