POP-UP Easter Sunday bike train
Pop-Up (short notice) Easter Sunday bike train / social ride on April 5, 2026. If you don’t see this invitation in time, hope to have you join us for future social rides. Subscribe to Bicycling Monterey for future email notifications.
By 7pm on Saturday, April 4, please PHONE us for this April 5 bike train’s pick-up stations, departure times, or for other questions, and to RSVP. As our Contact page indicates, be sure to leave a message if we can’t pick up your call immediately.
DESTINATION: This Sunday, April 5 bike train / social ride’s destination is the 11am Easter service at solar-powered, bike-friendly (bike rack by sanctuary’s front door) First Presbyterian Church, 501 El Dorado, Monterey (https://fpcmonterey.org/, a Presbyterian Church USA congregation https://pcusa.org/about-pcusa/who-we-are/social-witness).
If you’d like to do that social ride but prefer to skip the church service, no problem. Just continue on with your day. Or, if you wish, you’re welcome to hang out in the Jay Bartow Memorial Garden during the service and stick around to enjoy coffee, tea, and Easter breads, etc. after the service. Note: There’s a 9am service too, with refreshments also provided following that service (i.e., refreshments will be provided between services, 10-11am, as well as refreshments provided after 11am service).
All minors on this bike ride must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian. Everyone rides at their own risk, and those biking with us are to follow California bike laws, including helmet requirement for minors; helmets are encouraged for adults too.
Did you know? Bike Month (May) events in many counties around the state and nation sometimes include Bike to Worship rides—biking to churches, mosques, synagogues, and other houses of worship. Get a head start on celebrating cycling by joining us on this Easter Sunday ride.
REMINDER: By 7pm on April 4, please PHONE us for this April 5 bike train’s pick-up stations and departure times, or for other questions, and to RSVP. As our Contact page indicates, be sure to leave a message if we can’t pick up your call immediately.
