Herald: Green Riders in Monterey County, a Monterey County Herald intro to the HER Helmet Thursdays project

Wallace’s feature, “Green riders: Bicyclists get discounts at local businesses [and organizations],”  was accompanied by a photo by Orville Myers taken outside the Fishwife’s Turtle Bay Taqueria in Monterey. All Fishwife and Turtle Bay locations—including Fishwife in Pacific Grove and Fishwife-Seaside, and Turtle Bay in Seaside are charter participants in HER Helmet Thursdays.

Another personal health enthusiast quoted in Wallace’s story was Jeff Perrine, director of sales at Sanctuary Beach Resort in Marina, which is also a charter participant in HER Helmet Thursdays. Perrine often cycles the three miles to work—dressed in suit and tie, enjoying views of the sparkling Pacific as he approaches his workplace.
