Bicycling support from SHIMANO: “All Bodies on Bikes” and at Sea Otter Classic

Bicycling Monterey previewed some of the Sea Otter Classic 2021 expo on October 6 as exhibitors and others were very busy setting up for the October 7-10 event—the 30th Sea Otter Classic in Monterey County. In the midst of working hard with his crew on the many tasks required to set up a visitor-friendly exhibit, Joe of SHIMANO graciously stopped what he was doing to chat with us, and to allow us to film a video greeting for you.

Watch that 80-sec greeting, or read some highlights, below.

Also shared below is the SHIMANO Originals film that Joe mentioned in his greeting: “All Bodies on Bikes.”

“Hi, I’m Joe from SHIMANO….Pretty excited to be out here! If you guys are coming out to Sea Otter, we hope you’ll come by and visit us.”

Some highlights from Joe’s greeting:
  • We’re kind of keeping an open museum-ish looking setup, just to be COVID safe, and we have some really great bikes on display to come see.
  • We have the brand-new DURA-ACE and ULTEGRA groups, which just got released.
  • If you’re here racing, we offer free support. So if you’re racing and something happens, and you can’t get it fixed, we’re here for you.
  • That’s really our big thing: we’re here to support people, so they enjoy the outdoors on their bikes!
  • Hope you saw our “All Bodies on Bikes” video [shared below], where we highlighted some awesome people just enjoying bikes.
  • We love bikes, we love riding, we want people to ride and have the best possible experience. We’re here to support and offer the best product we can.
  • We’d love to have you come by and say hi.
