CalBike coalition support for proposed AB 2168 and SB 569
Below learn why the California Bicycle Coalition (CalBike), Bicycling Monterey, and so many other CalBike partners support the following proposed legislation.
AB 2168 (Wicks): ATP Reform. This bill would expand the definition of Safe Routes to Transit and require strong accountability for agencies not delivering projects. Learn more:
SB 569 (Blakespear): Bike Lane Integrity. This bill aims to prevent local removal of installed bikeway projects due to concerns over lost parking and traffic congestion. The bill requires local agencies to conduct a study and provide a public notice period before removing or reducing the physical separation of a bikeway. Learn more:
