The month of May, traditionally celebrated as Bike Month throughout the USA, is also anniversary month for Bicycling Monterey. May 2025 marks our 16th anniversary.

One of the greatest pleasures of providing the Bicycling Monterey site and projects is direct outreach on the bikeways. We love meeting visitors and residents who celebrate the joy of biking—like the people below, who we met during the first 16 years.
