Salinas Criterium

The  Salinas Criterium and Salinas Clean Air Criterium are under the umbrella of nonprofit Pedali Alpini, Inc. Race opportunities include those for girls and boys, ages 10-18, as well as for adults. Questions? (831) 442-VELO (8356).

Move over, Green Vehicle.

Even though you fit in that parking space now, it isn’t intended for cars of any kind. And on Criterium race day, make way for bicycles!

Salinas Valley Criterium

This racing event, with the initial race at Moffett Industrial Park in Salinas, is coordinated by Grass Roots Cycling.  What is Grass Roots?  Simply a small, informal group that puts on cycling races,  such as the Salinas Valley Criterium, licensed by USA Cycling.  The races are officially promoted by Pedali Alpini, legendary USA Cycling racing club, with Pan Am and Olympic team members, national champions, and lots of NorCal champions.

The first race on July 11 will be at 8:00 am, and the last race of the day is scheduled for 4:30 pm.

There will be races for riders in most ability and age groups.

And the Salinas Valley Criterium includes a free children’s bicycle rodeo and races presented by the  Salinas Police Activities League (PAL).Volunteers welcome!
