Remembering Jackson Stock (1944-2023)

When we snapped this photo of Jackson Stock on May 22, 2011, he was at the Big Sur River Inn restaurant to perform in their Sunday Music at the River series. Jackson was happy to toot his horn about keeping unnecessary cars off the road along the magnificent Big Sur Coast, a jewel of his native Monterey County.

A celebration of the life of Jackson Stock (28 January 1944 – 20 January 2023) took place on Sunday, May 21. See Monterey County Weekly’s May 19 story,  “Local jazz musicians convene this weekend to pay musical homage to one of their own.”
