Aug 2025 League Cycling Instructor seminar in Santa Cruz

In case you missed Bicycling Monterey’s Summer Bike Buzz—or our June 17 announcement on Mastodon— about this seminar scheduled for the Monterey Bay region, below is a press release from Ecology Action of Santa Cruz:

We’re excited to partner with the League of American Bicyclists to expand the network of certified bike educators on the Central Coast. Below are details for the upcoming League Cycling Instructor (LCI) Seminar hosted by Ecology Action, including two scholarship opportunities.

What:
A 3-day, coach-led LCI Seminar focused on teaching bicycle safety and skills to empower new and returning riders. Participants who complete the seminar will earn League Cycling Instructor certification, qualifying them to teach Smart Cycling classes to youth and adults.

When:

• Friday, August 1, 2025 | 5:00–9:00 PM
• Saturday, August 2, 2025 | Full day (TBA)
• Sunday, August 3, 2025 | Full day (TBA)
